Джа́нет Луи́за Блок Ма́ртин (англ. Janet Louise Block Martin; род. 24 января 1945) — американская историк-медиевист, русист, доктор философии (PhD) по истории, Почётный профессор исторического факультета Университета Майами. Специалист по истории средневековой России.

Биография[править]

Д. Мартин родилась в 24 января 1945 года[1].

Училась в аспирантуре Чикагского университета[2] где в 1980 году в получила учёную степень доктора философии (PhD) по истории, тема диссертации: «Сокровища страны тьмы: исследование пушного промысла и его значения для средневековой России (X—XVI вв.)» (англ. «Treasure of the Land of Darkness: A Study of the Fur Trade and its Significance for Medieval Russia (X—XVI Centuries)»)[3].

В 1982 году назначена ассистент-профессором исторического факультета Университета Майами[4]. Ныне является его почётным профессором[5].
