Ричард Джон[1] Бокэм (англ. Richard John Bauckham; 22 сентября 1946) — английский библеист, историк раннехристианской церкви.
Биография[править]
Родился 22 сентября 1946 года в Лондоне. В детстве посещал начальную школу Энфилда. Затем изучал историю и философию в Клэр-колледже Кембриджского университета. После окончания учёбы начал преподавательскую карьеру. Свыше сорока лет он читал лекции по истории и богословию в ведущих колледжах и университетах Великобритании. Будучи преподавателем Манчестерского университета в период 1977-1992 гг., начал специализироваться на истории христианской мысли. Последним местом преподавательской деятельности (1992-2007) послужил Сент-Эндрюсский университет.
С 2007 года целиком посвятил себя исследовательской деятельности и написанию монографий. Однако остаётся приглашённым профессором Сент-Мелитского колледжа в Лондоне и научным сотрудником колледжа Ридли Холл в Кембридже.
Прихожанин Шотландской церкви[2].
Является членом Британской академии и членом Королевского общества Эдинбурга.
Научные идеи[править]
Отстаивает[3] концепцию того, что материал евангельской истории построен преимущественно на свидетельствах очевидцев. Исходя из этой позиции оспаривает большинство ключевых выводов историко-критического метода истории форм применительно к евангельскому тексту.
